Directorate of Training and Technical EducationAbout DTTE The Directorate of Training and Technical Education (DTTE), Delhi, has been established by the Govt. of NCT Delhi, in a vision to provide trained technical manpower for the technological up-gradation of industrial production, services, productivity and innovation, contributing to the planned growth of the country's economy. In order to achieve the above objectives, the Department is striving for systematic planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes and policies relating to technical/vocational education. In this era of globalization and liberalization of economy, the DTTE finds a significant position for the systematic expansion of industrial growth by utilizing the knowledge of technical and vocational education. Functions The main function of DTTE is to look after the institutes for technical education and training in the state. The institutes which come under its umbrella are: Polytechnics, ITIs, and Pharmacy Colleges etc. The major functions of the Directorate are depicted below: - Technical Education and Training
