Directorate of Training (DoT) - Union Territories of Civil Services (UTCS)

The Directorate of Training - Union Territories of Civil Services (UTCS) New Delhi is an apex-training center, originally established by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India in 1963. The administrative control was transferred to Govt. of NCT of Delhi in April 1974.

The Directorate is headed by a senior IAS officer of AGMU cadre. The Directorate makes arrangement for IAS probationers for their urban training module. The main function of the Directorate is to impart Foundational Training to UTCS Probationers. However, the Directorate is also involved in imparting similar training to Pondicherry Civil Service Probationers. UTCS not only imparts classroom training to AGMUT Cadre IAS Officers but also imparts training to all the officers/officials of Govt. of NCT of Delhi and its all local and Autonomous Bodies.
