
The Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R Ambedkar University, Delhi (AUD) came into existence in 2007 by an Act of the Delhi Legislation. The University started functioning from July, 2008.
The University primarily focuses on teaching and research activities in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities keeping Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s principles and works in view. The university strives for promoting equity and social justice with equality enabling people to get successes, coming from any strata irrespective of religion, caste and attributes.
The Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R Ambedkar University, Delhi (AUD) has a vision to establish it as a premier centre of higher education. The university has established various schools and centres so that higher education with practical knowledge can be spread out among the students of India in general and Delhi in particular.
The schools and centres will offer postgraduate diploma, masters’ and research programmes in Social Sciences, Humanities, Mathematical Sciences and Liberal Studies. Presently, the University is situated (temporarily) in the Integrated Institute Technology Campus, Dwarka Sector 9, Delhi.

Courses OfferedThe Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R Ambedkar University, Delhi (AUD) offers following courses:
- M.A. Development Studies
- M.A. Environment and Development
- M.A. Psychosocial Clinical Studies
Eligibility: A bachelor’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent) from a recognized university. Relaxation of 5% in eligibility criterion will be given to candidates belonging to any one or more of the following categories:
- SC, ST
- Postgraduates from a recognized university with 50% (or equivalent grades)
- Those with work experience of at least one year in a relevant work situation
Reservation of seats: Based on the Government of Delhi rules.
Fees: Rs 16,000 per semester will be charged as the full programme fees. Total fee payable at the time of admission will be Rs 16,000 (for the Semester 1) and a refundable caution deposit Rs 2000 for use of facilities.
Fee Waivers and Scholarships: The Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) offers many Partial and Full Fee Waivers and Scholarships for deserving candidates.
