Deshbandhu College

Deshbandhu College, New Delhi established in 1952 has gained the distinction of being the oldest co-educational institute in south Delhi promoting arts, science and commerce courses. The college offers numerous courses in disciplines ranging from languages, history, political science, economics, commerce to all the major branches of science and mathematics and caters to over 2000 students every year. It is the oldest science college and was ranked the 28th best science college in India and 8th best in Delhi in the year 2010. Deshbandhu College is among the only five colleges in Delhi University (DU) offering BSc (honours) Biochemistry. The magnificent campus of Deshbandhu college, with its lawns, gardens and extensive grounds offers a healthy platform for overall development of the learners. The campus has an Administrative block, Arts block, Science block, an old block , a huge library with more than 90000 books and a Science block accompanied with well equipped laboratories,  students' common rooms, a gymnasium and a canteen . The 60 year old science block has been recently renovated and will soon inaugurate the web access centre. Students joining in the year 2011 will enjoy a wi-fi connectivity and best infrastructure.
