Indraprastha College for Women also known as IP College is affiliated with Delhi University (DU). This is one of the most sought after college among female students willing to make career in sciences, arts, commerce and Mass Media. The college offers hostel facilities for students who come from other places for study. This college started journey in 1924 as Indraprastha Girls School. In 1924, Intermediate classes were introduced. In 1930, classes for degree courses were started. In 1938, University of Delhi (DU) has recognized IP College as a Degree College. The college has well built classrooms, library, beautiful garden and facilities for other recreational activities beyond academics.
