Gargi College

Gargi College is meant for girls. It was named after an enlightened woman, ‘GARGI’ who figures in the Brihadaranyaka Upnishad of the Vedic Age. This College, have been awarded the prestigious College with a Potential for Excellence Grant by the University Grants Commission in the year 2004-2005.

Gargi College was established in 1967 by the Delhi administration.

Gargi College caters to arts, science and commerce streams in particular. It has a little over 2000 students, 150 faculty members and 110 non-academic staff in all.
