Beyond DU: The Best Alternatives for Higher Education in Delhi

Updated on: Jun 25, 2015 , Author:

Delhi University (DU) is the educational destination for every aspiring student in Delhi and neighboring states. Even students from distant parts of the nation apply to DU and hope to secure a seat at the prestigious university which can arguably be called the most popular university in India. However, out of the countless students who apply for its courses every year only a relative handful (54,000 for the current academic year) get to fulfill their dreams at the university.

The rest have to look for alternatives of which there are plentiful in the national capital territory of Delhi. Many of these are world-renowned for their educational programs and some specialize in specific areas of study. With the hype over DU and its courses showing no signs of abating, it is a good idea to plan for alternatives for your education and make contingencies if you are not able to get through to the DU college of your choosing.
