Delhi Education Minister Mr. Arvinder Singh Lovely said that contrary to several media reports earlier, the admission schedule has been made common for all schools this year and all schools will have to abide by it.

Criteria in the Points System for Admission to Nursery in 2011

While the selection criteria for each school will vary, and will be declared on the 1st of January 2011, it will be more or less similar to last year. “The schools will be free to base their criteria such as sibling, alumni, single parent, transfer case or neighborhood. They will be asked to formulate their plan and submit it to the education department. The schools should consider that categorization should be rational, reasonable and just," Lovely told reporters.
