Computer and IT related courses

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science
  1. M.C.A. with at least 55% marks in aggregate. OR
  2. M.Sc. in Computer Science with at least 55% marks in aggregate. Or
  3. M. Tech. in Computer Science/Engineering with at least 55% marks in aggregate
Master of Computer Applications ( MCA)
  1. Passed Bachelor’s degree examination in any discipline from a recognized institution with at least one paper of Mathematics at Senior Secondary (10+2) level.
  2. Appeared in the entrance test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
M. Sc. (Computer Science)
  1. Passed BCA/B.Sc.(Computer Science/IT/Maths)/B.Tech/BE/B.Sc.Engg. (any discipline) / PGDCA/PGDIT examination securing at least 50% marks from a recognized institution.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA/B.Sc. (IT))
  1. Passed senior secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks.
  2. Not more than 23 years of age on October 1, of the respective year.
  3. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard for the purpose.
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) (Computer Science /IT)
  1. Passed senior secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks.
  2. Not more than 23 years of age on October 1, of the respective year.
  3. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard for the purpose.
M. Tech. (Computer Science)
60% or equivalent in B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Engineering/Information Technology/MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent.

Pharmacy related courses

M. Pharm.
A candidate seeking admission to M.Pharm. programme must have:
  1. Passed B. Pharm./ B.Pharm (Unani) examination from Jamia Hamdard or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 55% marks in the aggregate of theory papers of B. Pharm/B.Pharm (Unani) or any other equivalent examination.
  2. Qualified GATE.
Bachelor's Course in Pharmacy
A candidate seeking admission to B. Pharm. (Regular & SFS) programme of study must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing atleast 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  2. Not more than 23 years of age on October 1, 2005
  3. appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard
B.Pharm (Unani). Regular and SFS
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing atleast 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  2. Knowledge of Urdu comparable to Matric standard.

DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY (D. PHARM.)

A candidate seeking admission to D.Pharm. programme must have :
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. For admission against NRI/ Sponsored seats ,written test is not required .
DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY (Unani)

A candidate seeking admission to D.Pharm.(Unani) programme must have :
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. For admission against NRI/ Sponsored seats ,written test is not required.
DOCTORAL (Ph. D.) PROGRAMME IN PHARMACY

Eligibility: Candidates should have passed M. Pharm. from Jamia Hamdard or from any other institution recognized by AICTE and Jamia Hamdard in Pharmacology/Hospital Pharmacy/Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmaceutics or M.B.B.S. degree from a recognizedinstitution . Preference will be given to M.D./D.N.B. degree holders in Pharmacology/Medicine/Clinical Pharmacology). Candidates with M.Sc. degree in Pharmacology may also be considered. The required percentage is 55% inaggregate in the relevant subject.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing

A candidate seeking admission to this programme must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
  3. Not more than 23 years of age on October 1, of the respective year.
  4. The ability to communicate in Urdu/Hindi and English.
  5. Sound health.
Please Note: Stay in the hostel is compulsory for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing students. Hostel accommodation is provided on payment of prescribed charges.

DIPLOMA IN GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY (DGNM)

A candidate seeking admission to this course must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination in any subjects from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate. The candidate must have studied English in 10th standard.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
  3. Not more than 23 years of age on October 1, of the respective year.
  4. The ability to communicate in Urdu/Hindi.
  5. Sound health.
Occupational Therapy

Master of Occupational Therapy (M.O.Th.)

A candidate seeking admission to M.O.Th. must have:
  1. Passed Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (B.O.Th.) from an institution recognized by Jamia Hamdard or University/ Institute approved by UGC securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
Physio Therapy

Master of Physiotherapy (M.P.Th.)

A candidate seeking admission to M.P.Th. programme must have:
  1. Passed Bachelor of Physiotherapy from a University recognized by the UGC or the Institution recognized by Jamia Hamdard securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (B. O. Th.)

A candidate seeking admission to B.O.Th. must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/ntermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

A candidate seeking admission to B.P.Th. must have:

A candidate seeking admission to Operation Theatre Techniques must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate of these subjects.
  2. Appeared in the written test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. For admission against the NRI Sponsored seats written test is not required.
Diploma in Dialysis Techniques

A candidate seeking admission to Dialysis Techniques must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate of these subjects.
  2. Appeared in the written test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. For admission against the NRI /Sponsored seats written test is not required.

A candidate seeking admission to Diploma in Medical Record Technology (DMRT) must have:

  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate of these subjects.

Certificate Course in Ward Attendant

A candidate seeking admission to Certificate Course in Ward Attendant must have :
  1. Passed High School Examination (Xth Class) from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other equivalent examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard.
  2. Completed the 15 years of age on or before the first day of October in the respective year.
  3. Appeared in the interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard
Diploma in Ophthalmic OT Techniques

A candidate seeking admission to Diploma in Ophthalmic OT Techniques programmes must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate of these subjects.
  2. Appeared in the written test/interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
Diploma in New Economy Skills

A candidate seeking admission to Diploma in New Economy Skills programmes must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with any stream from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate of these subjects.
  2. Appeared in the written test/interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
  3. Preference will be given to the visually impaired candidates
M.D. (Unani)

A candidate seeking admission to M.D. (Unani) must have:
  1. Passed B.U.M.S. examination securing at least 60% marks in the aggregate from Jamia Hamdard     or from any other university.
  2. Completed the compulsory internship for at least 6 months.
  3. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
M.D. (Unani) for in-service candidates

A candidate seeking admission to M.D. (Unani) must have:
  • Passed BU.M.S. Examination securing at least 60% marks in the aggregate from Jamia Hamdard or from any other university.
  • Completed the compulsory internship.
  • Experience of 3 years as a teacher in a CCIM recognized institute or 6 years experience as a Medical Officer/Research Officer in CCIM recognized hospital / institute / CCRUM organization.
  • Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. There is no entrance test for In-service teachers candidates of Jamia Hamdard for this programme.
  • Sponsorship and proper leave from their parent organization. In-service teachers of Jamia Hamdard and other colleges in a particular discipline in which M.D. is not offered will be eligible to apply for M.D. in a different discipline. Teachers of discipline in which M.D. is offered will not be eligible to apply for a different discipline. For example, a teacher of Ilmul Advia will not be eligible to apply for M.D. (Moalejat) as both these subjects are offered by Jamia Hamdard.
KAMIL-E-TIBB-O-JARAHAT (B.U.M.S.)

A candidate seeking admission to B.U.M.S. programme must have:
  1. Passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry andBiology.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test of Jamia Hamdard.
  3. Proficiency in Urdu comparable to High School (Class X) standard in addition to knowledge of English.
  4. Medium of instructions of this course is Urdu.
  5. Not more than 23 years of age on of respective year.
Certificate course in Attar

A candidate seeking admission to Certificate course in Attar programme must have:
  1. Passed Alim Examination from Madarsas / Institutions recognized by Jamia Hamdard
  2. Appeared in interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
  3. Completed the age of 17 years on October 1, of respective year.

Certificate Course of Unani Dispenser

A candidate seeking admission to Certificate Course of Unani Dispenser must have:

  1. Passed Alim Examination from Madarsas / institution recognized by Jamia Hamdard OR intermediate (10+2) qualification in any discipline with knowledge of Urdu.
  2. Not more than 17 years of age on October 1, of respective year
  3. Appeared in the Interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.

Certificate Programme in Unani Medicine

A candidate seeking admission to Certificate Programme in Unani Medicine must have:
  1. Passed bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in medical and allied sciences including other system of medicine such as Chinese Medicine
  2. Appeared in the Interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.

Eligibility for Humanities and Science

M.A. in Islamic Studies

A candidate seeking admission to M.A. in Islamic Studies must have:
  1. Passed graduation in Islamic Studies or in related disciplines securing at least 50% marks. Further, students who have passed Fazil (Graduation) examination securing at least 50% marks from a Madarsa which has been recognised by any of the State Boards of the Madarsas or by Jamia Hamdard are also eligible for admission
  2. Proficiency in English and Urdu/Persian/Arabic and knowledge of Theology and teachings of Islam
  3. Appeared in entrance test conducted by Jamia Hamdard
Eligibility for admission to Ph.D. Programme in Islamic Studies
  1. Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. should have a post-graduate degree in Islamic Studies or allied subjects with at least 55% marks, Knowledge of Arabic/Persian/Urdu and English is essential
Eligibility for admission to M. Phil. programme: Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Programme must possess Masters' degree in any subject of Social Sciences of the University or a Degree recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 55% marks.

Selection ProcedureAdmission to M.Phil. programme is made on the basis of the performance of the applications in an interview of the short listed candidates.

Eligibility for admission to Ph.D. programme in Humanities:Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. Course must possess Masters' degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, History or Economics, with at least 55% marks in aggregate

MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.Sc.) IN BIOCHEMISTRY

A candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. programme in Biochemistry must have:

  1. Passed B.Sc. or equivalent examination with Biochemistry or Chemistry as one of the subjects  securing at least 55% marks in the aggregate.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.Sc.) IN BOTANY (WITH SPECIALIZATION IN ENVIRONMENTAL BOTANY)

A candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. programme in Environmental Botany must have:

  1. Passed B.Sc. or equivalent examination of a recognized university with Botany /Plant Sciences as one of the   subjects and secured at least 55% marks in the aggregate.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.Sc.) IN TOXICOLOGY

A candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. programme in Toxicology must have:
  1. Obtained bachelor’s degree recognized by Jamia Hamdard with any three of the following subjects: Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental Biology or a subject of Life Sciences and have secured at least 55% marks in the aggregate. Candidates who have studied biology at 10+2 level and have B.Pharm/B.V.Sc./B.Sc. (Ag.) degree are also being eligible to apply. The minimum required percentage will be 55% in aggregate.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard
MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.Sc.) IN BIOTECHNOLOGY

A candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. programme in Biotechnology must have:
  1. Passed B.Sc. or equivalent examination from a recognized university in Biological Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate. The candidates having passed B.Sc. (Agriculture) or B.V.Sc. are also eligible.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.Sc.) IN Chemistry (Industrial Application)

A candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. programme in Chemistry must have:

  1. Passed B.Sc. or equivalent examination from a recognized university with Chemistry as one of the subjects and secured at least 55% marks in the aggregate.
  2. Appeared in the Entrance Test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
Ph.D. program in Faculty of Science:

Eligibility: The Faculty offers Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Botany and Toxicology. Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. programme in the Faculty should have passed M.Sc. in the relevant subject securing at least 55% marks in the aggregate. Departments of Biotechnology and Medical Elementology and Toxicology accept candidates to Ph.D. programme who possess M.Sc. degree in Chemistry or any subject of Biological Sciences.

Some fellowships sponsored by HNF are available for award to deserving candidates. Some candidates can be supported by appointing them as Junior Research Fellows in research projects sponsored by various funding agencies of the Government of India. Preference is given to those candidates who have qualified UGC-CSIR NET or the test conducted by ICMR. Students desirous of seeking admission to Ph.D. programme of the Faculty may see the areas in which research is conducted in the departments on the university website.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management

Eligibility: MBA with 55% marks from any University/Institution recognized by the association of Indian Universities. Those who have Masters Degree in related disciplines may also be considered if they have done adequate courses in core subjects.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Eligibility: A candidate seeking admission to MBA Programme must have:
  1. Passed Bachelor’s degree examination in any discipline from a recognized institution.
  2. Appeared / will be appearing in MAT conducted by AIMA on May 02, in the respective year. Appeared in group-discussion (GD)/ interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) [ Specialization in Health , Hospital and Pharmaceutical Management]

Eligibility: A candidate seeking admission to MBA Programme must have:
  1. Passed Bachelor’s degree examination in any discipline from a recognized institution.
  2. Appeared / will be appearing in MAT conducted by AIMA in the respective year.
  3. Appeared in-group discussion (GD)/ interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
